I\u2019ve seen them cost starting at $40,000 and up. <\/p>\n<p>So when you consider that a large percentage of the US population only makes $40,000 in income a year or less \u2013 it only makes sense that BMWs are out of most people\u2019s price range. <\/p>\n<p>But\u2026 you can accommodate buyers who can\u2019t afford your prices by taking a play right out of the BMW auto dealers\u2019 playbook\u2026<\/p>\n<p>How?<\/p>\n<p>Offer installment pricing. <\/p>\n<p>This is why\u2026 as a former US army officer, I remember seeing new Privates fresh out of boot camp driving around in cars that were way out of their price range. But because the monthly payments were affordable \u2013 they could get themselves a \u201cpimped out\u201d ride.<\/p>\n<p>Now, this strategy seems incredibly obvious\u2026 but so few business owners, marketers, and self-employed professionals ever do it. <\/p>\n<p>Of course, it makes no sense to offer installment pricing for products or services under $100. <\/p>\n<p>Because let\u2019s face it, if someone doesn\u2019t have ready access to $100 in cash or have $100 available on their credit card these days \u2013 you probably don\u2019t want them as a customer anyway. <\/p>\n<p>Installment plans are a great way to enable potential customers to buy what you\u2019re selling, and be able to manage their monthly cash flow as well. It\u2019s a Win-Win situation for everybody. <\/p>\n<p>Another way to overcome the price objection is to offer a $1 offer trial period. <\/p>\n<p>Here, you craft a compelling marketing campaign and offer your product or service for $1 (this is you can capture their credit card information), let them try out your product or service for a given amount of time with the option of cancelling\u2026 and then, if they haven\u2019t cancelled within that time \u2013 you simply charge them the remainder of what they owe. <\/p>\n<p>This allows them to \u201ctry before they buy\u201d and if your product or service is really good, chances are that a lot of people won\u2019t cancel and will be happy to pay the full price once the trial period is up. <\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s a good example\u2026<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve seen the $1 offer work exceptionally well with financial publishers that offer $500\u2026 $1,000\u2026 even $2,000 a year advisory services. They simply offer people to try out one of their high priced advisory services for 30 days for $1 to see if they like it. Plus, if their editor who is making the financial recommendations has a good track record and makes the new trial subscribers money \u2013 chances are, they\u2019ll stay on for an annual membership.
