How To Get Buyers To BELIEVE Your Marketing Messages

In today’s hype-filled world, people are very skeptical.

Depending on what source you read, the average American is bombarded with anywhere between 2,000-4,000 marketing and advertising messages a day.

It makes perfect sense that people are completely numb to almost all brand advertising today.

As a result, if you can claim you can help someone make money, save money, lose weight, improve their love life, etc. – the thought going through their head will be:

“Prove it!”

And many business owners and marketers can’t… at least not in a believable way.

So here’s your opportunity to inject “proof elements” into your messages. Proof elements are basically anything you use in a marketing campaign that makes it more believable.

Unfortunately, most people don’t know how to effectively use proof elements in their sales and marketing messages.

Here are several four simple sets of proof elements you can start weaving into your sales messages today:

1. Provide specific information. As a former US army officer, I discovered how important it was to pay attention to details. It could mean the difference between life and death. In your marketing, paying attention to details could make the difference between a marketing campaign that completely flops and one that brings in millions of dollars. I encourage you to pay attention to details in your marketing… at all times. Use real details potential buyers could check like: years in business, awards you’ve won, academic degrees you’ve earned, physical address of your business, real working phone numbers to reach you at, quotes of what other respected professionals or publications have said about you, etc. Now, because people are busy – most of them won’t bother to check these details. But, that doesn’t matter. Because you gave them, it’ll add to your credibility.

2. Provide verifiable “proof statements.” We’ve all seen fake screenshots of how much money people made online using some new money-making “system.” Any amateur with Photoshop can make them. However, if you’re teaching people how to make more money, I encourage you to use real proof statements in your marketing campaigns. These could include actual W2s, bank statements, IRS tax returns, sworn statements from your CPA, special certifications, government documents, business licenses, etc. These carry far more credibility than screenshots… plus, they’re verifiable.

3. Provide testimonials about you, your product, or service. Look, you can talk all you want about yourself, product, or service… and people might believe you. However, when someone tells their compelling before and after story… someone who may be just like your potential buyer… your potential buyer thinks, “Hey, if they could get those results, I can too!” and that dramatically increases the chances of you making a sale.

4. Provide your track record (if it’s good). I have written countless sales letters for financial publishers, and one of the biggest selling points was their editors’ track records of making winning picks. Now, you don’t have to be a financial publisher or financial advisor to use this tactic. Simply talk about the results you’ve gotten for clients or customers. For example, when I owned and operated a professional resume writing business years ago – I helped over 91% of my clients get job interviews. And for those who didn’t get interviews, I found that they took the resume to their existing employer… and ended up getting a raise or promotion without needing to go on interviews!

If you simply implement those four sets of proof elements, your marketing messages could come across as more believable… and you can start to enjoy making more sales.

And the best news is that you could start implementing those changes today…
